The method of connecting a Serial Encrypter to a Leased Line depends on one factor - the data rate. Metrodata can provide you with products that operate at fixed rates such as Nx64k, E1, T1, E2, E3, DS-3 and OC-3 and provide Serial Conversion to G.703/COAX/BNX or Fiber. We can also provide a solution to work at flexible or "odd" data rates such 9.123Mbps or 266.67Kbits to G.703 or Fiber. Typically the fixed data rate conversion can be done using Products from our Global Connectivity Range - DSU's, Interface Converters, etc. Flexible Data Rates or non fixed rates would be done using the AP3000.
