Leased Line Rollout

Leased Line Rollout

New service providers will need to rollout leased line type services, they will lease bandwidth services from other carriers and/or provide their own infrastructure. Either way, fibre cable will feature at some point.

It's fair to say that there is a lot (if not over-provision) of fibre cable in the ground, typically in metropolitan areas. A lot of it is as yet unlit.

Why not light up some of your spare fibre capacity or even lease fibre services from a carrier, to provision your regional leased line services!

If you have spare fibre, light it up on a point-to-point basis with Metrodata ATM products to 'bypass' a major cost element of leased line rollout- the common route from the central Hub to your POP.

By using your spare fibre, or leasing fibre services e.g. BT's LES155, you can dramatically reduce the cost of providing leases lines, certainly in a metropolitan area (where most your customers reside).

Either way, you can save major costs or tariffs by using the Metrodata ATM Access Processor to concentrate your leased line services within a high-QoS ATM environment.
